2016 Webby Award Honoree
Temple's Next Stop digital viewbook is one of Eastern Standard's crowning achievements for 2015-16.
The Strategic Marketing and Communications (SM+C) team at Temple — one of the largest universities in the country with more than 38,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students enrolled in over 400 degree programs — enlisted us to convert its viewbook, the comprehensive “bible” for prospective and incoming students, from a traditional print booklet to an all-digital interactive format. Working closely with the SM+C team — an innovative group of strategists, creatives, and technologists — we created a cutting-edge, immersive experience for young students, who are well versed in retrieving and processing information in this manner.
Based on the results of extensive user interface testing conducted throughout the project’s first year, we collaborated with Temple’s internal development team to create a design overhaul with graphic and experiential changes to the site that will ultimately enhance conversion rates for the University. As a result of the Next Stop 2.0 updates, users are now more efficiently guided through various broad information sections to the application and admissions pages, where they have the opportunity to ultimately become new Temple students.
Next Stop represents a bold step for the University and embodies our objective and collaborative goal-oriented design approach through the presentation of rich content in a simple but engaging manner. It also incorporates some of the latest in design technology, including memorable and attention-getting animations and transitions, video, and sophisticated tracking tools.
